Blogland

Is it just me? It seems like the activity in Blog Land is way down. My dear friend who hosts Beloved Mama has actually posted "On Hiatus until August 10th." Where are the pictures of the lil' ones throwing household items into the toilet? Where are the memes? Where are the awards? Where are the Word-Filled/Wordless Wednesday photos??

These are questions I must ponder over the next few days. I can visit Peace for the Journey and Life and Times of Life at Home, or Joy of Desserts, I suppose. They have all been faithful bloggers through the summer. I just hope my wonderful friends who have moved to Kentucky, hosted VBS' and taken trips all across the country with their lil' ones have taken lots of photos and written down all the stories of the humorous adventures with family, and visiting the Corn Palace in South Dakota, because we bloggy friends need our bloggy friends.

"On Hiatus." "Oh, bother." xox, my friend...

My friend Kathy at The Empty Nest, and I were just discussing the same thing. Summertime always brings a lull, even at our church. We know from experience not to plan any really big events in the summer, especially August, as we'll have a hard time finding volunteers and people won't show up on the big day. I guess the same is true in Blog Land.

oh, dear! I've been reading blogs... and honestly, I've been feeling like a have a lot to say... but when I start typing... I get self-conscious... easier to leave comments then to post....

It's like a cloud of some sorts. I noticed it early on this summer. Honestly, I've thought of retreating several times, but I know I must keep at it for so many reasons. It's been a hard discipline for me, cause let me tell you...

these youngins are a handful. I'd like to send them to the Corn Palace for at least a week. They start back in 10 days (who's counting)...

but I'm wondering if life will ever really slow down enough to keep pace with blogging. It's a discipline for me and doesn't come easy. I always appreciate coming here. You know why?

It's like stopping by a water fountain or the cookie store in the mall to take a break from routine.

Please post some more funnies for me. I need a good laugh. Maybe I'll venture back to the bookstore one.

It's just summer. We usually have 60 or 65 at our quilt guild meeting and in July there were only 47. It's hot, people are traveling or canning or water skiing or something! You won't catch me water skiing or in a bathing suit but I know some people who do that. Wierd people. Wierd, skinny people. Blessings, marlene

I'm still blogging away although not as much as previous to summer. My laptop decided to die on me and sitting here at the old computer that can't sit on my lap is really no fun. :( Oh well. It's still fun to stay connected!
VBS Countdown-2 days and we start full speed ahead. Pray for me!

I found you through Elaine's blog.

I know what you mean about everyone being gone lately. Makes me wonder if there isn't some European-style summer vacation rule at play that I didn't know about. I just started my blog in May--maybe I should have waited until September!

I started a "Speak-up Weekends" on my blog since the blogosphere seems to go dead silent on weekends. So people who aren't posting and can't find anything to respond to can drop by and add their thoughts to the topic of the day. (Feel free to join next time around if you're bored!)

You can visit me. :-) I use to post about three times a week but now time only allows about once a week and I really do allow the Spirit to move my words and dictate what I write. But feel free to come visit and read as many past posts as you'd like.

In Him,
Paula

Where are you? You are a winner, but I don't think you want to win or something. Is today a hiatus day for you? Oh bother.
