Just Two Pages

This morning I found myself adjusting the radio dial ~ or the cd track, I'm not quite sure which, as I waited for the red light to change. I glanced to my left... The woman driving the car next to me was entranced with a novel in front of the steering wheel. When the light turned green, she put the bookmark in place and sat it down before speeding up and entering the freeway.

Don't you find yourself wondering what was so interesting? It was only a block after the last light...

I've actually done that before. Books are addicting for me and I would do this on my way to work (when I worked) just so I could catch an extra page here or there.

Hoping you are blessed this wonderful season. I know you bless me. :)

That pic was actually taken two weeks ago in Oklahoma. It was chilly down there but not like up here. We have a couple of inches of snow right now. My grandparents are from a small town outside of Tulsa. Aren't you from that neck of the woods?

I'm impressed that she put it down! I see people all the time, READING, APPLYING MAKE UP, TEXTING, TYPING ON THEIR LAPTOP, SMOKING, PICKING THEIR NOSE, ALL WHILE *driving* (and I mean all at the same time!)...
and yet, they somehow seem to have the ability to -- on top of all of that -- flip me off. ;)

Wow, that's taking multi-tasking to the extreme! I've actually seen people reading a book WHILE driving!!! Wild, isn't it?!

Thanks so much for your prayers...I'll be posting an update later this evening about my hubby. He saw the neurosurgeon today.

I missed a cross country plane one time just so I could get a few more paragraph's read. Some book deserve such devotion. LOL

You are lucky she put the book down to drive! I've actually seen them read AND drive. And all sorts of other multi-tasking too.
